These are wonderful works, but I've decided to leave them here as your definition of an artist is a good start to the subject.
There isn't any one single definition that will truly fit us all.
It has been said that the definition of "art" can no longer be defined. With the trends in modern/abstract/contemporary art, it is difficult to put a cage around it. Just about anything can be considered "Art". So then, how do we define the artist?
One simple definition could be, an artist is one that produces art.
Most artist's do however, derive great pleasure in the production of art.
Even Einstein said, "creativity breeds greater happiness. The creative process is itself a source of joy for most people."
Research has proven that in the creation of art, an increase in dopamine (a brain chemical) and activity in the brain's frontal cortex takes place, resulting in feelings of pleasure that are similar to being the throws of romantic love.
This is why once bitten by the art bug, you're hooked!
It like a natural drug that simply makes you happy, like when you got that first kiss. The first time you held your love's hand, etc, etc.
So, has the bug bitten you?
