Giant Bubbles

by Peggy
(Coos Bay Oregon)

Old farm scene

Old farm scene Old barn giant bubbles rainbow colors in giant bubbles

Devin is our great grandson, he is now 16 but back when we took this picture he had just been shown how to make a giant bubble. My husband made the bubble wand and the soap mix, Devin then age five was in bubble heaven.... it makes a nice family painting, my husband gave bubble wands to the kids in the neighborhood....

The old barns have fallen to barn heaven years ago...
Back in the early 80's before my husband passed away, we went back to Oklahoma where he was born, as he wished to be buried in the family plot with his parents. For me Oklahoma was a very new experience, the people, the country the history was all new for me and coming from California I was very new to them.....lol

the barn with the arch over the gate was the first thing one saw when turning into the street where we lived, The Other barn, was the barn My husbands grand father had built, and where my husband had played and enjoyed many years while growing up. He took me out there and we took many pictures, he told me some funny stories and some not so funny about growing up in the country in the tiny town of Atoka,(still just 4000 people in the 80's). My husband born in 1925, was there until he entered the service in WW2. He passed away in 1984 from cancer and is now with his parents, two of his brothers and a sister.I moved back to Oregon a while later....
