Nectar Time Out

This is my first attempt using the flemish technique, after reading up about it on your wonderful website I decided to give it a try.

To make this painting original, I gathered things together from various places; the bird was from a separate photo as was each of the morning glory, the grass I placed in from my imagination.

I am really happy with the end result, and I will be experimenting a lot with this technique as it allows me to identify where most of my mistakes were in previous paintings, also I can create depth in my work, I am so happy to have stumbled upon your website, and I do cherish your comments.
