A Succulent White Narcissus, Daffodil oil painting demonstration.
This is another older work, Narcissus, a single daffodil oil painting. The photo's show an already completed umber under layer and the beginning of the gray layer.
Here we move in a little closer to see some of the delicate pedal nuances that have been placed around the main Narcissus blossom rim.
Even a closer shot to show you can still see the underlying ink drawing, and the very subtle shading of the umber under layer. You want to keep these as they add the detail that is captured within the dead layer. Match your gray tone as close as possible to these little shadows. Put them in with a small round brush and blend with the dry blend brush.
