Oil Painting Techniques wet-in-wet

by Ognjen Lazarevic

Evening falls on Danube's shallows

Evening falls on Danube's shallows

Hello! I would like to thank you for great tips in oil painting and not being selfish, like most painters.
This painting was created in a 4 hour session that was inspired by a magical landscape. While sitting there and watching the nature's struggle to stir things up, once more before going to sleep, I was stunned.
The painting was done in oil, wet on wet style.

Keep on teaching and sharing and God bless you all!!

What a wonderful example of this technique! Ognjen, I hope you don't mind, I've changed the title to reflect the style of painting and placed the title of the painting under the image. I used this technique in the past, and felt I couldn't control it well enough. You've given us an excellent example and I think I may try the approach again, and set up a section on the site for it. It is a very popular technique. Thank you again for sharing!
