Replica - Bouquet on Box - Jacques Linard 1640
by Ursula
(Mexico)
Replica Copy of
The original
This is a still life painting from the old masters. I enjoy the dark background and the brightness of the flowers and at the same time being very simple and balanced.
This painting is done with the Flemish technique that I have learned from your book. The painting time spanned about 6 weeks - on and off.
I am putting together my own compositions and hope I can accomplish something simple and beautiful as this painting.
In the future, I will be uploading my compositions.
Sincerely, Ursula

Editors Note:
Thanks Ursula,
This again is another great example of what folks can accomplish with the technique. Thanks for including it here for others to see.
It's amazing to see some of the old masters works and knowing most were created without the use of modern things like camera's or refrigerators to keep those blossoms fresh.
I've included the original so folks can see how close you have come in creating this wonderful piece of art. To the casual observer, most would not realize it is a copy.
Thanks again for sharing.
Oh, before folks get into trouble over copying other artist's work, do check out the do's and don'ts at this link.
