these pictures were taken yesterday in our front yard. it had rained lightly through the night so there was dew drops all over the roses. Most fo the time I take pictures of the garden flowers early in the morning, sometimes at noon if the morning had been overcast, and late afternoon. When I see a new bud just getting ready to open I take pictures then, and every other day after until it is through blooming.
I do the same with the other flowers also. Slugs are bad this year so I have been keeping a careful slug search daily. Our garden and our flower beds are organic so we watch carefully for any kind of bug....
This was a strange year, we had no spring, winter until June and even then it remained cold, now at the end of July, our temperatures are still in the lower 60 during the day and less at night, more than the normal cold winds too. Some of the flowers did not come up at all. some came late and didn't last long, some are just now doing their thing, across town away from the ocean (we are ten minutes from the sea and can hear the wave action at night)other flowers are late but at least they are blooming.
