Flemish oil painting

This is a oil painting done in the Flemish style on a 12 x 16 inches canvas panel. This is my second painting in Flemish and I love this technique!

Hi Yvette! Thanks so much for contributing. This sunflower is exquisite! The modeling and composition are wonderful. Keep them coming!

I especially like the cast shadow across the seed pods and the dew drops are a nice touch. This really inspires me. We are presently in a whopper of a snow storm (18" on the ground) and still more coming. Makes me wish for summer and these beauties! Now where is my reference file on sunflowers?

This is so realistic, I don't think you'd put it near a window for the birds would be fooled and would be trying to get dinner!
