The first imprematura step tone, or color mixture?

I did as close as possible the parts of umber, black and yellow ochre, and the color that I get is a green gray tone . I notice that yours is more on the golden yellow tone, for the large flower.

How do I get that tone?

I love this book, thank-you!

Editor:
Try taking out more of the black, and adding more of the yellow. You can also add a touch of white to the mixture, but if you are using oils rather than acrylic in this step, the white will slow the drying time down several days to several weeks if you do not use an drying accelerator.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your answer so soon. Are you recommending that I use acrylics because of the drying time. Also what drying medium do you recommend. thank you
