The Year in retrospect, oil paintings by Peggy

by Peggy
(Coos Bay Oregon)

Empire Lake

Empire Lake

Empire Lake Sheena, great grand child portrait painting Trisha, oil portrait with baby, Madonna theme.

My favorite stump on Empire lake, it has quite a few old stumps here and there, this one I really liked.....never dreaming it would be so hard to paint.....lol
But finally got it done and it hangs in our living room.

The portraits were interesting and a bit different than I have done before.

Mike is a nurse at our local hospital, I wanted to try no hair but only on the face, I struggled with the beard, he has it trimmed his way..... he is a jolly man and has the painting in his home.

Sheena is my great grand daughter. Age 11 now but I always liked this picture I took of her so I painted it for her grandmother.

Trisha is my grand daughter, her son at that time was six weeks old, and we tried the Madonna look. Her mother has the painting in her home.

I try to paint at least five days a week now, and always learning new things and trying new ideas.
