Still Waters, Oregon Coast
Yachats is on the Oregon coast, a favorite place for artists. It is an hour and a half drive north of Coos Bay. We go there as often as we can. The last time we went there I took over 600 pictures, used all my memory, all of my husbands memory and a couple of batteries...we still laugh about that, but yachats beaches make you feel like you just want it all, lol
Love these digital cameras, took some movies too on the same camera, AVI's wanted to save some of the action there. Yes I still crawl all over the rocks, hubby stays pretty close to me I am not real steady on my feet under those conditions but I love it the intense feelings about the energy, the power , the beauty of the place, there is nothing else like it.
Doing some research on the area I learned that those rocks are several million years old, that a great deal of Oregon was full of volcanos. In Yachats, some of the rock came up from under the sea and some fell from above. The rocks show different shapes and patterns and different color. An artists dream.....
