I'll try to fill in the blank here about this painting from what I see in the photo. It won't be as good however as you, the artist, can give us an explanation of the painting. It's always best to submit with at least the process used. In this painting it appears to have thick impasto's with possibly some knife work. The subject and the background are really beautiful and I guess it is the color balance and composition that work for me. It is in a simplistic style, but the innocence of the subject is captured. The yellow flower I'm sure has significance to the subject, but I can again, only guess. Yellow represents hope, happiness and wisdom. All could be associated with the subject here. The subtle smile and facial expression also exudes a sense of hope, happiness and wisdom.
