Christmas tree is down, and time to get back to the Easel! January 06, 2012 |
Hello!Table of Contents![]() * Name Change! The Christmas Tree is coming down today. So sad the holidays are over and it's time to get back to work. Well, work for me these days is like getting full time play. When you get to do all day what you love to do, well, I can't say I work for a living anymore. Hopefully I can pass along some of the JOY I feel while painting onto you, while you learn and create with your paintings! I believe this is going to be a GREAT year! Lets get started together.
I've changed my e-zine name to something shorter and sweeter! New Stuff at Easy Oils was sooooo long, and truthfully, lame.
Easy Oils Blast! is just more appropriate as its just a short blast of information concerning new articles and stuff that's offered here at Easy Oil Painting Techniques! We've also kinda met a new milestone with over 1600 members! Who would of thought!
I've added a few things to the Portrait page I think you'll enjoy. I've got a few super examples of paintings folks have sent me. Later today I'll post them up to the site, in the meantime, if you've got your own portrait you'd like to show the world, then here's your chance!
Portrait Painting Tips and Techniques ![]()
I've also put together an invitation for those that have a landscape painting they would like to show. Several have already been included, why not add yours?
How you can Transfer drawings accurately.I've added a really cool way to transfer that image or still life setup onto your canvas. It's part of the main lessons in the Flemish or indirect/layered approach to painting. Check it out here:How to accurately transfer your image to the canvas. Realistic Pencil Portraits ReviewIt's been awhile since I done some serious drawing. I had forgotten how much enjoyment it brings me. This was all due to a course that I've been reviewing. The exercises are such fun! What course? Just check out my review! How to draw people, Realistic Pencil Portraits review. Learn and Master PaintingSeveral folks have already taken advantage of this. Don't be left behind! It's their best price of the year and it ends January 6th! The price is greatly reduced so please, if you've been thinking about a full (the most comprehensive oil painting course of it's kind that I have found within this price range) painting instruction class, then this is it!Realize this, if you attend a seminar (usually priced minimum of $200) you usually have a number of other costs involved, from hotel travel and food expenses. And when it's done, it's done. Hopefully, you take good notes and can retain the information. With a DVD course, you review it as many times as you want! No travel, hotel, or food expenses. No pressure to take lots of notes and hope you don't miss anything important, (you just rewind the DVD). So many advantages to taking a course like this rather than a live class or seminar. But you have to decide. Please check out their site here: Learn and Master Oil Painting, a complete oil painting course. Facebook Like it please!Don't forget the great addition to the site is the Facebook application! If you're a Facebook Fan, then you'll appreciate this. You can "like" a page, and comment on it's contents so your Facebook friends can see what all the hub-bub is about, and where you spend your valuable hours learning on how to paint great things! Spread the word! Click on the like buttons and give me your comments on the site! You don't even have to leave the site, it's all right there for your convenience. And our readers love 'em!
You can follow me, and I'll follow you back, but do reply to me that you are following so's I can follow you back! just tweet an "@delmus" in your tweet box! Well I hope the information was useful to you. Future ezines will be in a similar format, just different information. Let me know what you think! Have I helped you in any way? Twitter me, or drop me an email. I would love to see some of your work! Till next time! This is Delmus Phelps wishing you a happy painting day!
PS If you missed the 1st issue of the ezine, you can get it here, Ezine Back Issues. |
