Peppers Painting Demonstration Jewels from your contributions.
Here are two wonderful examples of some great questions with answers that folks have added. I know you've done this! You're at the art store, the gesso on the shelf looks so goood. You know that you need some, but, not sure which to purchase. You check price, wow, what a difference in brands. Then you look around, nobodies watching, so you open the expensive bottle look inside. You may even poke your finger in, and note the texture. Ummmm, thick and creamy. Then you check the much cheaper brand, and note that it seems to be runny. What to do? Which to buy? See my answer here: What's difference does the gesso make? and you can add what you have found on the subject. On another topic, DUST, and what a pain it can be in your paintings. Our member writes and wonders, "is my place the dustiest in the world?" "What can I do about it?" Here's my thoughts on the subject Dust in Maui? If you've got a great solution, help us out here!
Impressionist Painters, an Art Styles article.

Close observation, and lots of photo's inspired me! I found my old book on Impressionistic Art, blew the dust off the cover, and started reading. Wow! here's what I found on impressionist painters, and the movement that changed everything! 2000 PLUS! What's it mean?.I just checked the rolls within the database, and it's official.
