Still life, landscape and flower prints

Hi folks, it's been a while yet again! I'm still here, still painting, and getting a few things done on the websites.

Recently I've continued to build my print portfolio. As these are a more inexpensive method in owning art and a great was to start a collection. collections

Its been a long hot summer here in Virginia, and we've been able to travel a bit in spite of Covid. My old 2002 Ford Excursion finally broke down hard. Luckily, we weren't moving when it occurred. We were visiting family and had just pulled up. Was going to turn vehicle around when she just wouldn't start. A few tests later, we figured a fuel pump bad. Tow truck arrived, was allowed to operate the winch, and off to the dealer for some TLC. $1700 and 3 days later, back on the road again. Man, I had no idea how much parts for an old vehicle cost these days, nor how much labor it cost to drop a fuel tank to get to the fuel pump.

Heck, I remember buying a whole engine for $600 ($100 per cylinder) and getting the local garage to drop it in the ford explorer for another $600. And that 1996 Explorer is still running today!

I guess I'm becoming that crotchety old guy that lives in yesteryear.

And yes, I apologized to the poor technician that first called me with the quote. We were at a zoo with family, and well, some of the things I said was making nearby Mom's cover their children's ears, and the animals were running for the other side of the paddocks. Not one of my finer moments.

Anyway, thought I'd let you know again, we are safe so far from this virus (Thank God) and hope you are also. Still painting up a storm, and trying to get a new eBook together on painting large florals! Let me know if you are interested. I may send out a few for free to get some marketing feedback.

Sorry for all the underscores. I'm a baby boomer, and once I set up the account, my kids reminded me of what a pain it is to add those underscores to find me. I then reminded them they hey, follow me, and you won't have to keep typing that mess in. I'll just appear in your feed.

They were impressed.

Who said you can't teach an ol dog new tricks?
