Lynchburg art gallery owner, Vera Swain, opened her shop in 2009.

Beyond These Hills Gallery & Home Accents is located on

17835A Forest Road, Forest, VA 24551.  Phone 434-385-4111

This is a great NEW location for the crew!

Once you walk in this unique home accessory shop you’ll realize that this is not your average home décor shop.

At a quick glance you will see a variety of accent furniture pieces with old world charm to traditional pieces mixed in with a casual country rustic lodge look.

Lamps, pottery and framed artwork along with an array of beautiful home accents are placed throughout this spacious shop.

You’ll receive a warm welcome from shop owner, Vera Swain, or possibly Beth Colville, owner of Dezinz by Beth, who has just teamed up with Vera.  Beth is both a local artist/teacher and accomplished framer.

Soft music will be playing in the background as you browse. Stay and visit or just sit and relax by the warm fireplace and enjoy a hot cup of coffee, tea  or cocoa or a bottle of water.

On your right is yours truly trying to do the suck and tuck, and it ain't workin', so I'm gonna stay away from the cocoa and stick with the bottled water please! Beside me is Vera Swain, the owner of Beyond These Hills.

Within this lynchburg art gallery, the art and accents reflect a theme of nature, wildlife and the great outdoors. Wonderful gift ideas for the golfer, fisherman and hunter along with items for the more feminine side such as beautiful botanicals, (yes, that includes some of my gorgeous floral paintings) candles, jewelry and much, much more.

Many treasures adorn the unique pieces of old world charm furniture found from a supplier that offers solid timber yesteryear furniture bench built, using only reclaimed or recycled timbers, to create a genuine aged patina. Some may say they’re antique reproductions or distressed pieces but however you prefer to describe them they have character and no two pieces are alike.

You can barely make out one of these fab pieces just behind me in the photo.

"I’ve had customers originally from the East Coast area such as North Carolina and Tennessee and some from as far West as Colorado, Minnesota and even Canada say that these items remind them of back home" says Vera.

So regardless from where you’re from you can find items that may bring back warm memories. We want our customers to feel comfortable, relaxed and enjoy our homey atmosphere.
