We've got lots to talk about, so lets get started!

Non Traditional Venues

Continuing our series in Art Marketing, I talk about where, outside the usual gallery arena, to sell your art. Some of these you have heard about, and some, well, you'd be surprised! Come along, and lets take a little stroll to some "different" spaces to see some great art and maybe get yours included!

Non traditional venues for your artwork.

Progress report on 3rd Venue

Well, this is very surprising news! I took some of my own advice. Put together the art package, and did some Guerrilla art marketing, and ....magic! Check out the results here

The process works! Lets get to it.

Beyond your paintings, cards, prints, merchandise.

Now, you don't really have to be in a gallery to sell your artwork. Maybe you just want some form of extra income from your art! This article talks about several ways that artist's today and stepped outside the box of conventional thinking, and grabbed the opportunities available! Wouldn't it be cool to see your painting on a coffee mug at your friends house! So how it's done right here at beyond your paintings, cards, prints, merchandise.

Building your own art website

I've updated this page a few weeks ago, but let me delve a little deeper so you can get the whole picture. Every artist needs to have a web presence these days. Not just for exposure, but for customers that have already purchased your work. It reflects that you are still in business! Not quite 2 years ago, I stumbled into this, and, well, I can't speak more highly of this than my own art (or my wife and kids). This has enabled me to concentrate on what I love the most and in helping make my dreams a reality. Painting full time! Yes, it does get lonely sometimes in my studio, yes, the hours are long and sometimes my legs ache and I don't realize it until too late. But that comes when you follow your passion and truly enjoy something you do! I've been truly blessed in that gallery sales have continued, but surprisingly, my online presence is now making my mortgage payment! What is the "IT" that I'm talking about? It's SBI!

Your help and advice needed!

Would you like to help grow this site! There are 2 ways that you can.

1. Have you a twitter, facebook or other social media account? Why not mention this site to your friends. Especially your art friends as this information is for the artist in mind and those that have always wanted to be. Have you got your own blog or website? if we have related themes, (art related)
lets exchange links!

2. Secondly, are you an expert in an oil painting technique? Lets say you can do a great ocean wave, or a beautiful bird? Include it here at your oil painting tips! You can upload up to 5 photo's of your process and help others learn the tricks of the trade! Help us help others! Many already have, and I'll be categorizing the sections soon. Come and join our discussions.

Christmas IDEA!

For those that have wondered what to get their friends for Christmas, I've got an idea that will last them a lifetime with the joys of painting! My e-book on the Flemish technique is now available on CD and packaged really nice. I ship most anywhere, and this is gonna make a great stocking stuffer for your friends or family members. Along with a basket of paints, brushes and the CD, your gonna see some eyes begin to sparkle!
Make it happen.

I'm now on Twitter! I find that if you reply to me rather then direct message (DM), I'll be able to find you easier. I get so much spam these days, I rarely check my direct messages in twitter any longer.

You can follow me, and I'll follow you back, but do reply to me that you are following so's I can follow you back! just tweet an "@delmus" in your tweet box!

Follow me on Twitter

Well I hope the information was useful to you. Future ezines will be in a similar format, just different information.

Let me know what you think! Have I helped you in any way? Twitter me, or drop me an email. I would love to see some of your work!

Till next time!

This is Delmus Phelps wishing you a happy painting day!
