Smith Mountain Lake art gallery - The Little Gallery
This Smith Mountain Lake art gallery is truly located right on Smith Mountain Lake, but don't let the Little name fool you. The Little Gallery is every thing but little!
Owned by Carol Swain and Kay King, opened in 1988 and has been a work in progress ever since. The well-trained staff offer outstanding customer service.
The Little Gallery features more than 200 internationally, nationally and locally known artists. In addition to fine art, the gallery sells handmade pottery, jewelry, stained glass and blown glass, and fine art prints in a wide range of sizes and prices.
The Little Gallery also provides businesses and institutions with art through the gallery’s corporate program.
Folks, I've been around this lake (one of the largest on the east coast of the U.S. with lots of galleries and boutiques) and this Smith Mountain Lake art gallery is the best I've seen. That's why I approached them so many years ago to carry my work! The quality of art that they carry simply stays at a high standard. Yes, they have rejected some of my pieces! (We all need someone to keep us on ours toes and put out only our best efforts!)
This Smith Mountain Lake art gallery also holds monthly shows and features artists. Some artist's putting on some great live demonstrations! You will find their calendar of events on the web site link below.
They are located at Bridgewater Plaza on the lower level lakeside and behind the SML Visitors Center.
The Little Gallery is open 7 days a week with winter hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and summer hours of 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
