King of the Lilies, Stargazer Lily
These are some of the favorite flowers, making the yard smell soooo good.
the passion flowers are blooming strong this year, will have to divide it and give a lot away, beautiful but look like they might be a challenge to paint.
There are still some flowers that have not opened up yet this year, and as usual I will be taking pictures
a friend gave us a beautiful crystal flower vase today, I will put flowers in it and take pictures for all of you to enjoy...
I haven't tried painting cut glass vases yet so it will be a new type of still life for me....I hope a lot of you will also paint some of the many flowers...

This beauty was one amoungst my many day lilies that are within our front gardens. Not sure the variety, but the sunlight was hitting it just right.
You may see this in one of my paintings soon! I put it here so that others may enjoy this yellow lilly flower blossom all year round.
One thing I like about lilies, they never need much. You know what I mean? Little attendance and attention is required to keep them happy.
Never a high maintenance sort of thing. I rarely need to pull weeds, they grow so thick the weeds die. Not a lot of watering, they seem to be happy where I've planted them.
till next time....

Isn't this red lily flower gorgeous? Hopefully this summer I can get them in a bunch of 3 or 5 for you. The red is a brown, burgundy red. With the yellow and orange interior it makes for some striking colors.
Day lilies are another favorite flower of mine. Not much maintenance and they bloom all summer long! Our deer population around here will not eat them. Which makes for a safe garden bet if you know what I mean.
Nothing like planting a thousand dollar landscape just to find out you're feeding the local deer herd with it!
Sorry, I like Bambie, but I like bambie on my dinner plate rather than my gardens.
Anyway, enjoy. Hope to see some one take this one to completion with a painting.

Lily Garden
Here I can see many possible paintings. Lilies, iris and roses are my most favorite flowers and I have many of them in my garden.
Here I offer some photos that I think cam become nice paintings...
you can paint them as you see them here, or......
wipe out the back ground with something dark....
separate the groups into several paintings with or without some back ground,
colorful fun still life maybe paint one large painting and several smaller ones and group them on one wall, give them away, sell them but most of all have fun and enjoy them

new flowers have bloomed in the past week, and yet more still to open up...
Every year here in Coos Bay there are 5 gardens chosen by the local garden club and the Master garden Club. they set up a garden tour for the public, people come into your yard, walk through your garden, ask many questions and touch and smell your flowers or check out your vegetable garden area with even more questions...
This year we were one of the chosen gardens, we had more than a hundred people show up yesterday, it was a pleasant and interesting morning and afternoon, we gave out cuttings from our passion plant and many people ate fresh sweet strawberries they picked from out organic garden, it was a very busy and nice day
