Red roses picture
these pictures were taken yesterday in our front yard.
it had rained lightly through the night so there was dew drops all over the roses. Most fo the time I take pictures of the garden flowers early in the morning, sometimes at noon if the morning had been overcast, and late afternoon. When I see a new bud just getting ready to open I take pictures then, and every other day after until it is through blooming.
I do the same with the other flowers also. Slugs are bad this year so I have been keeping a careful slug search daily. Our garden and our flower beds are organic so we watch carefully for any kind of bug....
This was a strange year, we had no spring, winter until June and even then it remained cold, now at the end of July, our temperatures are still in the lower 60 during the day and less at night, more than the normal cold winds too. Some of the flowers did not come up at all. some came late and didn't last long, some are just now doing their thing, across town away from the ocean (we are ten minutes from the sea and can hear the wave action at night)other flowers are late but at least they are blooming.
Roses
Our entire front yard is a flower garden...I take pictures several times a week from tiny buds to full blooms. I am happy to share them with you.
Editors Note:
Hi Peggy! Thank you so much for contributing. Our email exchanges have been such a pleasure and uplifting. I can't wait to get some of the videos of the coast. I'm going to try to include them in here somehow. Not sure about the software, but we will give it a go! Your garden is fantastic! as is the Coastal Pictures sent in earlier submissions. I know my readers will be surely blessed by these photos!
Best wishes,
Delmus

Orange rose picture
These grow in our yard on the south side of the house, they are among the first of the roses to bloom. They are some of my favorites...
Editors Note:
Only in England have I seen such a wonderful display of roses. Peggy, you've outdone yourself again. Here in Virginia, if the bugs don't get em, the deer will! Seems like I just fight to get a nice bloom these days. Maybe when I'm rich and famous and retired, I'll relocate to some very fertile grounds in Oregon so I can grow some of these beauties myself. Wow! Just lovely! thanks for contributing!

Peggy, your gardens never fail to simply amaze me. The color range is so wonderful. Thank you for submitting these beauties. The white roses may just make it to my easel. The colors here are so delicate and the composition of the photo is just right!

Golden Roses
I take pictures of flowers in the garden all year long several times a week. At this time of the year the roses are almost over, and the lilies are just getting ready to rest for the winter.
You can see in these rose pictures that there are still more buds to open even as some of the flowers are fading...
These open up like a huge bouquet , look pretty and smell great...
hope you like them...
enjoy
